Rose Weasley stood behind her trolley looking firmly at the wall between platforms 9 and 10. Making sure that nobody was looking, Rose ran directly into the wall pushing her trolley with her. As most muggles would expect, she wold crash into it and get a severe concussion, but Rose was a witch, and as soon as her trolley made contact with the barrier, she disappeared inside the wall, onto Platform 9 3/4 where the Hogwarts Express was waiting for her. Soon after, her brother, Hugo, had joined her.
Ignoring her brother's complaints about his heavy trolley, she looked at the train with a smile on her face. A brand new year at Hogwarts, she thought. New friends, new enemies, new adventures, new choices, everything was left undecided, it was up to her to make best of the year ahead of her.

Charlotte walked through the crowd towards the familiar crimson train.
Another year at Hogwarts. She couldn't wait.
She spotted a mess of firey red hair and called out.
"Rose! Hey!"

Rose spun around as she heard her name being called. "Hey Charlotte!" she called out to her, pushing her trolley towards her. "Good summer?"

"As good as can be expected."
Charlotte tripped slightly.
"Ow. Yours?"

"Decent, boring, but decent."
"Hugo got a new rat, he named it Bobo," she said to her, rolling her eyes.

"Bobo? Seriously? Ha. Awesome."
Charlotte dragged her trunk behind her, feeling anxious to get on the train and back to Hogwarts.
"Wanna find a compartment?"
"Soon, I want to say goodbye to my mum first."
"Oh, right."
Charlotte instinctively turned to look for her mother before she remembered. Right. Working overtime at the Ministry. As usual. Charlotte sighed. Sometimes she wished she had a mother with less responsibilities. So that her aunt didn't have to drop her off for the first day of school.
"Thanks, Auntie!" Charlotte waved back at her cheerful aunt, who grinned, waved, and disappeared back through the platform to the Muggle world.

As Charlotte turned around to say good-bye to her mum, Rose noticed that Hugo had already gone on the train. In fact, everyone seemed to already be on the train, everything was empty, except for the parents that were already leaving back onto the platform. She looked at her watch and saw that it was already 10:57, only 3 minutes left until the train left.
She turned around, grabbed Charlotte, and ran to the train, the wheels on their trolleys screeching loudly in their ears. "C'mon Charlotte! We're going to miss it!"

"Oh, d**n!"
Their trunks bumped as they ran to the train.
Rose hopped on and pulled her trunk up, then helped Charlotte with hers.
"Come on, hurry!"
Charlotte got on and shut the door, breathing a sigh of relief.
Rose leaned out the window to wave to her mother, then came back inside
"Let's go find a compartment, if there are any LEFT..."

Rose and Charlotte roamed through the long corridor, opening a door now and then to see if there was any room, no success so far.
Suddenly, she bumped into something, or someone, she guessed, she immediately guessed the figure by his slick, blonde hair and deep voice. Scorpius Malfoy. "Weasley," he mumbled under his breath, dusting off his clothes as if something disgusting got on him. "Malfoy," she sneered back at him. Ignoring him after that, she walked past him with Charlotte close behind her. They finally found an empty compartment at the very end of the train, they put their luggage up on the rack and took a seat.

Charlotte sighed, glad to be going back to Hogwarts at last.
"Malfoy. Ugh."
Rose rolled her eyes.
"He's so annoying."
"I've heard your mum and dad talking about his parents. Apparently his dad was a right git when he was our age. Judging by his son, he still is."

Rose rolled her eyes again. "I believe it. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?"
She looked out the window and gazed at the surroundings with her bright, eager eyes, she was just as excited to be going to Hogwarts as Charlotte was. She felt a smile spread across her face. No, Malfoy was not going to ruin her good mood, she made sure of that.
"Anywhoo, speaking of other than that slimy git, I didn't see your mum outside the train today, how is she?"

"Oh, she's FINE. Just absolutely PERFECT. With her perfect life and perfect JOB that she never leaves... she sure is glad to get rid of ME every September. But I'm glad to go, really."
Rose peered at Charlotte.
"You alright?"
Charlotte thought for a moment. "Yeah, I'm good. I'm GREAT. We're going back to Hogwarts. I'm absolutely ecstatic." ;D

Rose raised an eyebrow at Charlotte. "Are you absolutely SURE about that, Charlie?" she asked in a tell-me-the-truth-don't-change-the-subject tone.

"Right now, I'm good, really, Rosie. Don't worry about me. I suppose I'll just have to do something to severely disappoint her this year, won't I?"
Charlotte grinned darkly.
"I could... steal old Filch's keys. Or shut that ancient mangy cat of his in the North Tower."

Rose wanted to continue pulling her teeth until she got something out of her, but she knew she wouldn't get much out of Charlotte, atleast not now. "Or leave the old cat on top of the Astronomy Tower," she said with a wicked smile. "But really, Charlie, what's bothering you? You know you could tell me anything."
